Description
The Universal Lighting Board features warm white LEDs with a wide beam angle that illuminate the interior of the coach evenly. The brightness of the LEDs can be adjusted continuously. Our special circuit with a supercapacitor ensures consistently bright, flicker-free light even on dirty tracks and in unpowered sections.
Installation is child’s play: you simply solder the power leads from the axle pickups to the board, and the board can then be glued into the coach roof. On request, we can also supply matching axle pickups for current collection.
At each end of the board there is also a buffered, separately dimmable connection for tail lights. We also supply matching red LEDs for this.
If you would like to light several coaches, we recommend buying the axle pickups or the red LEDs in our packs of 10, 20 or 50.
Our lighting boards fit all passenger coaches in the scales 1:87 (coach length 30.3 cm), 1:93.5 (coach length 28.4 cm) and 1:100 (coach length 26.4 cm). Please select the appropriate variant when ordering.
The board fits, among others:
- n-coaches (Silberlinge)
- yl-coaches (centre-entrance coaches)
- Am/Bm coaches (express/InterCity/Interregio)
- Eurofima coaches (Intercity/Eurocity)
The capacitor can be mounted at various positions (A, B, C, see the board diagram) on the lighting board to avoid collisions with frame members or walls in the coach. For this, we use an H-Type capacitor that lies flat on the board. If you would prefer to store the capacitor separately (e.g. in the toilet cubicle), we can alternatively include a V-Type capacitor, which is particularly well suited for this. Solder pads are provided on both the top and bottom of the board for this purpose. Further information can be found in the product photos. Please select the desired capacitor type when ordering. To give you great flexibility, we always include the capacitors loose so that they can be fitted exactly to your project. The capacitors must be soldered in yourself. Please pay attention to the polarity, which you can find in the manual.
No cables or wires are included in the scope of delivery, as each project requires its own colours or lengths.
